What is the difference between solid wood and engineered flooring?
Solid wood is milled from a single piece of timber, like Oak. It's beautiful but reacts more to humidity changes. Engineered flooring has a solid hardwood top layer bonded to a plywood base, making it much more stable and suitable for areas with fluctuating temperatures or underfloor heating.
My floor isn't level; can you still install hardwood?
