Whether we are crafting external doors using Accoya—which offers incredible stability against the damp Yorkshire weather—or building internal cabinetry from Prime European Oak, we select timber that suits the job. Heritage work is a massive part of what we do here in York. Many of our clients live in conservation areas where you can't simply rip out a window and replace it with uPVC. We specialize in sash window restoration and draught-proofing, favoring repair over replacement whenever possible. By carefully routing out rot and splicing in fresh timber, we can often save the original character of the window while making it perform like new.

The job isn't done until the finish is applied. A piece of raw joinery might look good on day one, but without the correct oiling, painting, or lacquering, it won't stand the test of time. We ensure all our bespoke fittings are properly sealed to prevent movement and swelling.
