Whilst the spindle width is standard (8mm), the length often needs cutting with a hacksaw. Furthermore, screw holes rarely align with your old handles, meaning you might need to fill and paint the door before fitting the new ones.

Satin chrome is durable, but in damp environments like bathrooms, even good plating can pit if not wiped down occasionally. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners; a damp cloth is best.
